So, as you can see...I'm not quite back yet. I can sit, and everything seems to be healing okay, but I can't focus on my art yet, at least not to the standard I wish it to be!
So I'm giving myself a little more time to recover. I'm not excited about it, but I do need to be sure to recover to where I need to before jumping back into everything!

Hello all!
First off, surgery went well! I'm healing well, and recovery is coming along. I can't easily sit in chairs yet, so drawing pages is still on hold, but so far mid December looks like a good target for the comic to restart.
In other news however, my children's book has been finalized and released! I was able to submit a proof copy right before surgery and with a couple simple edits it's all good to go! You can find it here: www.lulu.com/shop/sammi-wilder…

I've never really done one of these things and I thought it might be fun. Despite the...odd questions. I hope you enjoy!
This is about my comic's main character Rosa, by the way ^_^

1) What's your name?
Rosa Harnix.
2) Do you know why you were named that?
I really have no idea how to answer this. You think I pick my parents' brains about my name?
3) Are you single or taken?
Single. This is a really odd question though.
4) Do you have any abilities or powers?
I have a steady aim and am a very good shot with all sorts of firearms. But I mean, this question seems better aimed at someone like Levi.
5) Stop being a Mary Sue.
Really now. If only I could be.
6) What's your eye color?
Green. I've been told it's an uncommon eye color.
7) What's your hair color?
Mousey brown. That at least is not uncommon.
8) Do you have any family members?
I have a mother and father. And a brother. I sure hope I'll see them again...
9) Do you have any pets?
No. And I have no idea why anyone would want one.
10) That's cool, I guess. What's something you don't like?
Why do you care? I guess I don't like pets, but I guess that's already clear.
11) Do you have any hobbies?
Not really. My job is my life. Or at least it used to be...
At least I can still partly do my job though.
12) Have you ever hurt anyone in any way?
This line of questioning sure got dark. Think about my job. Heck, think about just a day ago with the wolf.
13) Have you... killed someone?
Again. Think about my job. Not that I ever want to kill anyone but let's face it, sometimes it's necessary.
14) What kind of animal are you?
Where did this question come from?
15) What are your worst habits?
I push myself into too much overtime at work? Guess that won't be a problem for a while. If I even have a job when I get back.
16) Do you look up to anyone?
Boss, I guess. He tought me everything I know about being a detective. Plus he's been very understanding about my situation.
17) Are you gay, straight, lesbian, or other?
SERIOUSLY!? None of your frikkin' business.
18) Do you go to school?
Not since the police academy.
19) Do you ever want to get married and settle down? Maybe even have kids?
This, again, is really none of your business.
20) Do you have any fangirls or fanboys?
Maybe? I have solved several rough cases. Tends to make more enemies than fans though.
21) What are you most afraid of?
This is a recent and very new fear, but I'm afraid of never being able to go home.
22) What do you usually wear?
Jeans. V-neck t-shirt. Belt. It is more or less my uniform.
23) What's one food that tempts you?
Not really. But since I've only eaten an apple in the past 30 hours or so, all food would look pretty good right now.
24) What class are you (lower class, middle class, upper class)?
Lower class probably. Not much of a surprise, but my parents have worked hard trying to keep us afloat.
25) How many friends do you have?
A couple people from work. I am at work quite a lot. I don't socialize much.
26) What are your thoughts on pie?
Pie is tasty. But now I want pie...
27) Favorite drink?
Water is good and easily portable.
28) What's your favorite place?
Home. Sigh...why do you have to keep reminding me...

A lake. The ocean is really salty and not pleasant.

I know the TV crime dramas are totally fake, but the inductive reasoning employed by some of the detectives are quite interesting.

This question....has no bearing on this interview. It's really tempting to just cut it off now.

A few days ago I went past 5,000 page views! And I didn't even realize how close I was. And it's only been 15 months since I drew the picture for 1,000 page views... It's really kind of amazing. Too bad I don't feel like I have the time or energy to draw something for this, but maybe I should start considering what to do when I get to 10,000 because it will probably take less than 15 months to get there @_@
